Breath explores the relationship between delicacy and strength. Ideas of immunization and how much of a virus is needed to insure protection from getting extremely sick creates an interesting metaphor to many other areas of life. Circumstances may become extremely delicate but later provide strength for a more intense "battle." This print was created on silk and then ripped and cut in various places, only to be mended back together with the patterns and images of the very sickness that sought to destroy. The experiences in life, those issues and changes we may seek to resist because of causing pain, could be that which makes us stronger for what is ahead. Our scars tell our story, our testimony, and Grace.
